  • Great Selection of High Quality Carpet

I remember my first experience with carpet. As i hugged it lying face down, i could feel every thread piercing gently into my skin pores. That was more than 20 years ago, and i'll be frank, they don't make carpets like they used to. However, there is a  handful of carpet manufacturers who still do a lifetime's worth of work when they put their minds to it.  Getting the best carpet job boils down to doing it right the first time. Otherwise you'll be stuck with it for the rest of your life.

The task of selecting carpet is never easy. Perhaps what makes it so is that there are so many choices to choose from it can get a little confusing. Nonetheless, it can be much simpler with the aid of a few indicators.

    1. Fiber Density.

This is the perfect tell-tale sign. Fiber density is basically the closeness of the tufts and the corresponding amount of thread used. A fly on the wall approach hardly ever works. So spread the tufts and underneath will be revealed the distance between them. If they aren't far apart then know immediately that it is durable and less susceptible to matting as other carpets are.

    2. The Different Types Of Fiber

First up you have nylon, which is fairly wear resistant and tolerant to heavy loads of furniture. It's Achilles  heel though is that it is susceptible to stains and fading. It's also the most popular in the U.S.

Next up on the menu is polyester. Polyester is weaker than nylon despite being softer and more appealing.  Meaning that it is more vulnerable to fading and matting. However, it's a conveniently cheap alternative if you're not looking for longevity.

Polypropylene -also known as Olefin is what people imagine when they talk about a dream come true. It compensates what it lacks in terms of texture by being wear resistant, easy to clean nd resistant to stains, mildew and moisture.
